Vincenzo Bellini made a promising debut over this course and distance and I think he has the potential to build on that today.
He was slowly away and looked clueless in the early stages of that debut. He was still in a share of last turning into the home straight before making some headway with two furlongs to go.
He could never get close to challenging the leaders, but made encouraging late ground, despite racing greenly to finish fifth.
Given the inexperience on show that day, improvement can be expected from Vincenzo Bellini and the first two home that day are rated in the mid-80s show he was up against some good quality opposition.
It may be that at least one of the newcomers in this race will turn out to be above average, but I think Vincenzo Bellini has a better chance of getting off the mark at the second attempt than the market suggests and any double-figure prices appeal.
